WasatchCoinTrader.com (“WasatchCoinTrader,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) operates an online classifieds website and community for posting and browsing listings related to coins and currency (the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect your information when you use our website and related features (the “Site”).
Important classifieds-only notice: WasatchCoinTrader is a classifieds platform only. We do not broker deals, act as an escrow, guarantee payment, guarantee delivery, verify items, or guarantee any sale between users. By using the Site or any of its tools or services, you understand and agree that you are responsible for your own transactions and interactions, including verifying buyers/sellers, authenticity, condition, payment method, shipping, and compliance with all applicable laws.
Using the Site means you agree to this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the Services.
1) Who we are

We are based in the United States and primarily process data in the U.S. The Site is intended for use only within the United States.
U.S.-only Services: WasatchCoinTrader is a U.S.-based company and the Site is intended for use only within the United States. We do not target, endorse, or operate the Services in other countries, and we are not responsible for compliance with non-U.S. laws. If you access the Site from outside the United States, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with your local laws.
2) Information we collect
A. Information you provide directly
Account data: display name, username, password, email, optional profile details (e.g., avatar).
Listings & community content: item titles, descriptions, photos/videos, prices, condition notes, location you choose to display, and messages to other users.
Communications: messages sent via our in-Site messenger, comments, forum posts, support tickets, and survey responses.
We do not ask for, or require you to submit, government identification, credit card numbers, or bank account numbers to use WasatchCoinTrader. If you voluntarily share such information with other users (e.g., during a private deal), that is at your discretion—please use caution.
B. Information we collect automatically
Device & usage data: IP address, browser type/version, device identifiers, operating system, referring/exit pages, clickstream, page views, timestamps.
Cookies & similar technologies: session/authentication cookies, preferences, analytics, and basic anti-fraud tokens (see Cookies).
C. Content that may include personal data
Media uploads: product photos, avatars, images/videos. Do not upload images with embedded EXIF GPS, as other visitors could extract that data.
D. Information from third parties
Analytics and anti-spam/anti-bot tools: risk signals and basic device reputation to protect the Site.
Gravatar: If you use Gravatar, an anonymized hash of your email may be sent to check for an avatar (see Automattic’s privacy policy).
Payments note: WasatchCoinTrader does not process payments on our servers and does not collect credit card or bank details. Transactions are completed directly between users off-platform and/or using third-party services (e.g., PayPal, Venmo, Zelle, cash, etc.) chosen by the users. Those interactions are governed by the third parties’ policies—not ours.

Legal & safety: law enforcement or others when required by law/subpoena or necessary to protect rights, safety, and property.
Business transfers: in a merger/acquisition, data may transfer subject to this Policy.
6) Cookies and similar technologies

Strictly necessary cookies: login/session, security, load-balancing, anti-abuse.
Preferences: language, currency, display options.
Analytics: traffic and performance metrics (first-party and/or reputable providers).

When you comment, you can opt to save your name, email, and site in cookies (typically 1 year). A temporary cookie may check if your browser accepts cookies. Login cookies generally last ~2 days; “Remember Me” ~2 weeks; screen options ~1 year. Editing/publishing may set a cookie referencing the post ID (~1 day). You can manage cookies in your browser. 7) Comments, Gravatar, and embedded content
Comments: we collect the data shown in the comment form, plus IP and user-agent for spam detection. After approval, your profile image (if any) is visible with your comment.
Gravatar: we may send an anonymized hash of your email to Gravatar to check for an avatar (see Automattic’s privacy policy).
Embedded content: content (e.g., videos, images, widgets) from other websites behaves as if you visited that site directly and may collect data or use cookies per their policies.
8) User-to-user messaging & listings
Our messaging helps users connect. Messages are not end-to-end encrypted. We may use automated tools and human review to scan for spam/scams, prohibited items, or policy violations.
Classifieds-only reminder: Any arrangement to buy/sell/trade is made directly between users. WasatchCoinTrader does not verify listings or guarantee that a buyer or seller will complete a transaction.
9) Children’s privacy
The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the age required by local law). We do not knowingly collect children’s data. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact us so we can delete it.
10) Data retention
Account & content: retained while your account is active and up to 3 years after last activity, unless you request deletion sooner (or longer if needed for legal/admin purposes).
Community safety records: retained as necessary to protect users and enforce our Terms.
Cookies: per the lifetimes above or your browser settings.
When retention ends, we delete or de-identify data.
11) Security
We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the data we handle (e.g., HTTPS encryption in transit, access controls, monitoring). No method is 100% secure; if a data incident affecting you occurs, we’ll notify you and regulators as required.
12) International data transfers

14) Do Not Track
We do not respond to browser DNT signals due to the absence of an industry standard. Manage cookies via your browser and our consent tools (where provided).

Links to third-party websites or tools (including payment services you choose to use) are governed by those parties’ policies.
16) User-generated content & public information
Listings, display names, reviews, comments, and forum posts may be public. Consider what you share. You can edit or delete your public content where features allow.
17) Anti-spam and bot protection
We use automated and manual tools to detect spam and abuse (e.g., CAPTCHA/turnstile, IP reputation). These tools may receive the technical data necessary to operate.
18) Changes to this Policy
We may update this Policy to reflect changes in our practices or legal requirements. If material changes occur, we will provide notice (e.g., email or prominent in-Site notice) and update the “Last updated” date.
